Automotive, Healthcare and Industrials Adopt Printed Electronics

It's been some time in the making but now undoubtedly printed electronics is being pursued as a differentiator and enabler by many industry verticals. Organizations from several verticals are coming together to present their progress adopting printed electronics at the world's largest event on the topic - the IDTechEx Printed Electronics USA conference and exhibition, hosted in Santa Clara on November 14-15.

Who?

Over 3,500 attendees and over 270 exhibitors will learn from presenters including the $57Bn aerospace and building equipment company United Technologies and the $10Bn people movement company KONE. On automotive, organizations including Continental, DENSO and Porsche will present on their progress with printed electronics and in healthcare presenting organizations include Boston Scientific, Siemens Healthineers and PolyPhotonix. See the full speaker list here.

What's changed?

IDTechEx surveys of the many players involved in printed electronics finds strong optimism from suppliers, with many reporting strong traction with brands and OEMS. While ongoing technology developments consistently provide more functionality and enhancement, many suppliers of printed electronics systems have focussed over the last few years on pragmatic near term applications - often doing simpler activities including printed electrodes, antennas, human machine interface and sensing. Hybrid electronics is a focus - with organizations using the best of whatever technology is available to create the complete working solutions, and a focus on complete solutions and clear added value is the order of the day.
